The Asociación Argentina de Coleccionistas de Camisetas de Fútbol (AACCF, Argentinian Association of Football Shirt Collectors) is the only entity in the world that gathers and connects shirts collectors.
Officially founded in 2004 by a group of young professionals of various branches, it is a non-profit association that organizes many activities such as, members meetings, exhibition, seminars, swapping events, celebrations, interviews to players and main football figures, researches, awareness campaigns and other activities related to shirts and this paradigmatic sport.
The AACCF was created with the goal of combining ideas to form an entity dedicated to promote a work of general interest with the following purposes: to encourage the collection of shirts, to pay tribute to former and current players, to connect international and national collectors, to create and exchange projects with other football entities, to interact and mediate to give every member the shirt of his dreams and, above all, to finish the creation of the first Museo Nacional de Camisetas de Fútbol Argentino (National Museum of Argentinian Football Shirts).
Even though the hobby of collecting football shirts began a few decades ago in the old continent (Europe) and its tradition spread all over the globe, today, the AACCF has the privilege of not just being the first and only association that represents collectors around the world, but also counts with members that love this hobby around the world: in Italy, Spain, England, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Portugal, Germany, the USA, Peru, Ecuador, France, Japan, Bolivia, Netherlands, Australia, Chile and Uruguay, who have also joined the entity.
The Association uses Football as a tool to promote friendship and union! And it goes against any manifestation of violence!
One of the main objectives of the AACCF is the social consciousness that it proclaims: its founding members always thought the Association should not be restricted to the simple fact of collecting, but it should also promote and lead charitable actions and contributions to the community to collaborate with charitable organizations to organize “cruzadas solidarias” (“solidarity crusades”, special activities designed by the institution) with the aim of contributing with the social environment and, join and participate in other initiatives of specialized NGOs and sports clubs.
Another of the goals of the Association is to fight against piracy, a common practice in the textile industry, especially in Latin America and Asia, for the benefit of collectors, clubs and brands. That is the reason why the AACCF warns its members against possible fakes, something that is a unique benefit, because only shirt specialists can distinguish whether a piece is authentic or not. The key to this kind of action is empirical knowledge, the acquisition of pieces and the exclusive photo and movie files the entity has. The Association was created for those who anonymously love Football, those who devote time, passion and energy to the “most passionate sport of all”. Because “free time”, hobbies and collectionism compose an important part of everyone’s life, the AACCF greatly values this necessary space, because it goes beyond a shirt. This field takes care of us and makes dreams and projects transcend and become a reality.
This serious and passionate job has given the AACCF a significant position that resulted in the important recognition from Associations, Federations, Clubs, brands, NGOs, media, players, managers, various collectors and football-related institutions.
Then, the shirt (the one collectors recruit, care for and immortalize with love and sweat of its own history) more than just a simple sewn, embroidered or sublimated fabric, more than just a simple Piece of Collection, it is the immortal armor of those legendary national heroes with little shorts, who defended with life and soul the color of each of our hearts and the AACCF joins with passion each of them!
